A: You can play for a church, a piano bar, join a band, give lessons, play at weddings. Check some local restaurants because some of them like to have a piano player during dinner hours. Also check with caterers or halls you can rent out for parties and get your name out there as someone available to hire. Many times during some of their functions customers will ask for referrals for musicians. So get some cards made up and get them out there posted on bulletins in grocery stores, music stores, or anywhere else in your area you can hang a card or flyer. Also check with music stores in your area because local bands will post a want ad when they are looking for new musicians. There is definitely money to be made by keyboardist out there.
